The hard disk is mainly used to store the data which can be a text files or media files. If the user wants to access those data then they have to go to My computer->drives(C:,D:,etc).
But we can also hide the hide disk so as no one can view it increase your privacy. To do so follow these steps :
1. Click start->run.Type “regedit”.Then Select
HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> Software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion->
Policies->Explorer
2.In the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it "NoDrives" (case sensitive).
3. And modify its value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal).
4. Finally restart your Computer.
So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be displayed.
To enable the display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item created. And restart your Computer. Now the drives in the My Computer will be displayed.
